Honors Thesis in Painting | Advisor: David Gloman, Robert Sweeney

The thesis consists of four painting series that recount abstract stories about the city, Machine City, Repetitive City, City of Stairs, and Stacked City. Each painting speaks of a moment in the city, frozen in time, artificially constructed from memories and imagination. The paintings seek to translate the immersive experience of being in modern metropolises, based on my observations during summer travels as the Nagle Fellow in Asian Art and Culture in Vietnam, China, Japan, and South Korea.
