To form a space that houses two incompatible sections (drawing A and B), the project used turning arches as a device to carve out volumetric figures breaching through space, reconciling the sectional difference. The curves work to build up tension that culminates in super-moments where the continuity and fluidity in view triumph over the discontinuity in level, axes, and circulation.
